Squitty Bubbler est. 12th October 2009
We started this blog initially because, first off we love the music, and secondly we were fed up of seeing existing blogs ripping off the producers. We felt that people who weren’t so familiar with the scene were being taught wrong. Too many bedroom DJ’s were mixing with ripped versions of tunes that sometimes weren’t even released yet, thus effecting the system. Exclusives aren’t so exclusive anymore, which is a shame because we love being miffed and baffled when hearing an unknown tune in a mix and then being compelled to find out who it is!
So we created Squitty Bubbler, an online creative space for the producers who are willing to give out the odd tune or two to fans. We feel we’ve created a good balance of give and take. Producers are getting the recognition they deserve and the fans are getting free and fully legitimate tunes! If you’ve been following the site for a while now, you’ll know that we feature the more dirtier and filthier side of Dubstep. Feel free to download any of the tunes and find comfort knowing that you’ve been ‘given’ them and not stolen them!
We have tried to create a site that is easy to use and nice to look at! We are always updating the design of the site and will constantly be adding to the features we already have to offer. All our graphic and web design skills are self-taught so please don’t be too harsh when something doesn’t look or work as planned! If you would like to contribute to the running of the site then please get in touch. We always have something that needs to be finished and sometimes many hands make light work! Don’t forget that feedback is always appreciated!
Enjoy the music and remember to support the artists! Find a vinyl or digital store and buy as many as you can!
Thanks
Rich and Plesh,

Plesh has been the one who has developed the site layout and design. A photographer at heart, Plesh has shot some of his favourite DJ’s and met a lot of safe guys. He first heard about dubstep in 2005 when he listened to an early Skream mix, ever since then he’s been hooked! Although a big fan of dubstep, he still enjoys listening to a wide variety of music. Currently an active member of the Cardboardboss Collective which includes 10+ members with similar interests and skills, from music event organising to graphic design, film, photography and music.

Rich has a great passion for filthy dubstep music, he likes nothing more than curling up into a ball in a speaker cone and letting the filth lull him into a deep coma sleep. Rich is constantly discovering new producers and sick DJ’s, and is always bang on the dirt! He was the one who came up with the name Squitty Bubbler, this boy is a bit of a wrong’un.

Rosco is a wizard with helping us out, whether it be help with the design of the site or business, he’s always bang on with his involvement. Not only is he a superman when it comes to business, but he’s a fresh DJ and always brings a bag full of groove inducing bangers. Ross’s company Urban Aesthetics deals with web design and graphics. So if you like the look of Squitty Bubbler and want something similar, check this man out, because his pro sites are amazing!

We know we sometimes bend our own rules here at Squitty, but we really want to keep things consistent and regulated. We only post on producers who are willing to give out a free tune (or a few) to our visitors. We do not accept mixes. Please do not send tunes that you know aren’t good! If you do send tunes over please make sure they are named correctly, with the Artist name and Song title on the file. All songs must be 320 kbps quality. When you send a tune over please write a little about yourself including links to your Myspace or Soundcloud. If you don’t hear back from us, we are sorry, just mail again and we’ll find time.
