Santa Cruz born artist Minnesota is a mystery to us here at Squitty. We’re being honest when we say we don’t now an awful lot about this guy. Let us take you back a few months to when we ran the Box ‘O’ Fun competition. We had loads of people who received the samples pack, but unfortunately not many returns on the tracks, shame, shame, know your name! Anyway in and amongst the disappointment there was a glimmer of hope, thank fuck for Bristol!!! Drop ‘n’ Roll are a devilish duo straight out of the murky depths of Bristol town, with a sound that is guaranteed to get you craving for more.

Bing, Bang, Boom! Sub Antix is going all out now a days. He has found that special something that lurks in the bowels of an oscillating rhythm and he is milking it for all its worth. Fuck me, when we heard his new stuff we were well impressed to say the least. We ran a feature on Sub Antix’s track entitled Rat Trap a few months ago. We sugest you give it a listen, refresh your ear holes and then listen to his new stuff. You’ll soon see this guy is going off like a smelly piece of cheese in the sun (good not bad). Kane is a new (…well, new to us!) emerging dubstep producer from Newcastle, UK. His sounds are pretty dark, when they kick off. I like the way his tunes have a nice long and interesting build up and then whaam, he lets you have it. He says his music is influenced by artists such as 16 Bit, Broken Note and Flying Lotus and he strives to create a brutal musical style which encapsulates his listeners on more than one level. Kane’s mate, Budzak helped produce the two tunes below with him. The two tunes below are free to download and also he is looking to hope to get his tunes signed! We’ve heard his new bits and they are wicked! Look out for this young producer, he’ll sure to bring it at the party.

Klikz & Danja are boys, they make tunes, and this tune is good! KLIKZ (George Hopcraft) and DANJA (Nathan Jackson) are both from Oxford, they came up from a Drum and Bass scene and started producing Dubstep and we are thankful they have! The tune sounds like a frog that has mutated with an owl has just got stuck in ol grampas lawn mower! Check out more from these guys, they are constantly giving out tunes and taking their production to higher levels. Nice vocals on this one, I like remixes!!

Ok!! It is not often that we feature a mix, but this one is just too crazy not to post on! The incest inducing Inspector Dubplate has really got our ear holes moist with this 1 hour mix! Well, seeing as a lot of you thought the last Vaski tune that we posted was considered too old and waaa waaa waaa, we’ve got a more recent one! Nostalgia has made himself know to us with this free tune that he has sent over. This young producer is from Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA. We are not too wise about his background at the moment, so until we gather up the acorns of knowledge, you’re just going to have to find out by yourselves.

EDIT: We still haven’t had Nostalgia get in touch with some more information! Which is a shame because due to Hype Machine reposting on their site, it has meant a lot more people are being exposed to this and it is now the most downloaded tune on Squitty Bubbler!

I got releases coming from Bro-Town, Trill Bass and a heavy ep coming sometime later this year on Subhuman (Dieselboys new dubstep label) which is gona be INSANE. also a 3 tune ep later this year for Licked Beatz. So a lot of goodies coming out.

Bare Myspace

Vaski has a sickeningly satisfying sound. We found him on the old MySpace and we loved what we heard. He is a Minnesota born resident, and has been slaying the scene over there, not only with his tracks but he has been bringing down the house with his sets. Beatport has been housing his tracks for sometime now and there has been a lot of good feedback from the general dubstep public.

His World on Fire EP on Rottun Recordings shook not only the beatport charts but the entire dubstep community. All five tracks peaked in the top 25 in dubstep on beatport, two tracks in the top ten, and “Get Down” gaining a place as a number one hit.

Wrap your ear holes around this lovely remix of Amanda Blank’s – Might Like You Better. It made the rain go away and the sun shine when we heard this. Absolutely lovely. Really nice use of plinky plonky synths and a good all round use of filthy robotty goodness. Sink your teeth into this one, play it out and pop a few speaker cones for Vaski.
