Santa Cruz born artist Minnesota is a mystery to us here at Squitty. We’re being honest when we say we don’t now an awful lot about this guy. We would try to elaborate and give you some delightfully long winded explanation of his sound and the power involved, but we know we don’t have to tell you all this for you to be excited. We like this! It sounds fresh and is a refreshing splash of joy to our tired old ears. Hailing from Keila in Estonia his sound is as tasty as a big mac after a heavy night in a dirty boozer. We actually found this guy on a random american blog, we felt he was being overlooked and deserved a little Squitty Love. We hope you like his stuff as much as we do and we look forward to some more dirty nastiness from this guy soon.

We here at Squitty Bubbler strive to bring you the freshest, darkest and loudest filth out there. All we have ever tried to achieve is pleasing the general public with our treasure trove of delights and promoting new and up and coming artists who lurk in the shadows of the net, not getting the limelight we feel they deserve.

Now, both of us (Steve and Rich) have jobs and responsibilities other than running SquittyBubbler, however our whole hearts belong to Squitty and so does the litres of blood that we have spilled to create a successful and popular hub of dubstep delight.

Who doesn’t know about Liquid Stranger? You bloody well should! This bright young producer, Swedish-born, has an amazing story behind him. Currently living in Scottsdale, Arizona, Liquid Stranger has a huge range of musical talents and achievements under his belt. From producing a song for the Euro-Vision to Psychedelic Trance, Liquid Stranger has sought far and wide for his current sounds in his productions. This tune he is giving out for free has an Bollywood/Arabian sound to it, to be honest I’m not sure I can describe it correctly! Go find more of his tunes as many of them are bangers. Although the sounds may not be the filthiest, the production is tight and justifies plays in any set! Interview with Liquid Stranger coming later today or tomorrow…

NAME: Liquid Stranger
LOCATION: Scottsdale, AZ

COULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR SOUND/STYLE OF YOUR PRODUCTIONS:
Throughout the years, I have been meddling around with all kinds of music, ranging from ambient to drill n’ bass. The last
few years I have been mainly focused on dub music. I like dub due to its open frame. There are very few limitations since
it is basically more a way of manipulating sounds then a genre in itself. To me, Dubstep is the ultimate dance music, and I love the mix of gnarly whale noises and high doses of humor.

HOW DID YOU FIRST DISCOVER BASS MUSIC AND WHAT ARE YOUR EARLY MEMORIES OF
THE SCENE:
I grew up with the music of Data, Kraftwerk, Mike Oldfield, and Jean Michel Jarre. These are my first memories of music
that really spoke to me. I got into the Rave scene in 88, and was exposed to massive amounts of acid house, techno, and
jungle music. To put it shortly, I have been a victim of bass for most part of my life

TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOUR PROCESS WHEN PRODUCING:
It is a no-control battle. Inspiration hits, and something happens. I have found that the more I learn to silence my ego,
stand back, and fully surrender to the creative process, the better the result will be. I tend to work really fast, simply because I have to. I do not have the discipline to sit for more than 5 hours with one song. I get bored very easily,
so I just have to move forward.

WHERE, IF ANY, DO YOU FIND INSPIRATION OR IDEAS FOR TUNES:
It could literally be anything. I get a lot of inspiration from movies (especially bad ones it seems), and things that happens during the day. Other people’s music is also an inspiration of course, but I have lost interest in digging in the crates, so consequently I am very badly updated with new music and producers. The biggest influence for me music wise is, without a shadow of a doubt, vintage computer games. During my childhood, I spent so much time listening to the soundtrack of the C64 games, and I consider Chris Huelsbeck and Rob Hubbard to be true geniuses of the modern age.

WHICH PRODUCERS ARE YOU IMPRESSED WITH THESE DAYS:
I like producers who are original, and who’s character shines through in their music. Nuff said.

DO YOU HAVE ANY PLANS TO EVOLVE YOUR SOUND/PRODUCTION IN THE FUTURE:
…yes, I always tend to come up with far too many plans for new projects, but again, it is beyond my control. The worst
songs I have ever made are results of to much rigid planning.

WHATS THE BEST CROWD YOU HAVE PLAYED OUT TO:
Well, back in the old wild techno days, I played a whole bunch of amazing festivals, such as Voov Experience, and Boom.
Lately, I have mostly played in clubs, and while it does not really compare well to the massive outdoor vibe I have to say that the US has a really good Bass culture in general.

Just a remix I did for fun for the friction Lab show on BBC…but I do wonder what Dhaaru Pee Ke means.

We don’t know much about Crimes! But i’ll tell you a few things for free: he’s from California, he’s 23 and he’s blowing peoples minds. He has been producing music since from the tender age of 16 and apparently he loves cloudy days and midget wrestling! Need we say anything more.

Let us take you back a few months to when we ran the Box ‘O’ Fun competition. We had loads of people who received the samples pack, but unfortunately not many returns on the tracks, shame, shame, know your name! Anyway in and amongst the disappointment there was a glimmer of hope, thank fuck for Bristol!!! Drop ‘n’ Roll are a devilish duo straight out of the murky depths of Bristol town, with a sound that is guaranteed to get you craving for more.

Drop n Roll Feat. Titch - 5 Points

We don’t really know what to say about this one. Cedric Vertongen aka Airvalue sent us this little ditty with the aspiration of bursting some eardrums and killing some decibels in the process. We felt he showed tremendous balls to produce this one, it is almost a chemical experiment of dirty gritty bass hits. We must remember AirValue started as a dubstep dj/producer about 6 months ago, and is still learning. He’s played alongside the likes of Cookie Monsta, Funtcase, Flux Pavillion, Tomba, Diesel and Point.Blank. If they saw potential in him, so will you.

Bing, Bang, Boom! Sub Antix is going all out now a days. He has found that special something that lurks in the bowels of an oscillating rhythm and he is milking it for all its worth. Fuck me, when we heard his new stuff we were well impressed to say the least. We ran a feature on Sub Antix’s track entitled Rat Trap a few months ago. We sugest you give it a listen, refresh your ear holes and then listen to his new stuff. You’ll soon see this guy is going off like a smelly piece of cheese in the sun (good not bad). Kane is a new (…well, new to us!) emerging dubstep producer from Newcastle, UK. His sounds are pretty dark, when they kick off. I like the way his tunes have a nice long and interesting build up and then whaam, he lets you have it. He says his music is influenced by artists such as 16 Bit, Broken Note and Flying Lotus and he strives to create a brutal musical style which encapsulates his listeners on more than one level. Kane’s mate, Budzak helped produce the two tunes below with him. The two tunes below are free to download and also he is looking to hope to get his tunes signed! We’ve heard his new bits and they are wicked! Look out for this young producer, he’ll sure to bring it at the party.

Oh crikey! We don’t often post mixed but seeing as Bare has given us a free tune to give out also we thought what the hell! And may we just inform you that this mix is HEAVY! It’s just spot on, everything we need to have a large filthy erection party! Bare has got a release with Tuff Love Dubs that is just about to drop. Two tunes called Silent Pterodactyl and Bite. You can get it on Beatport when it is released in just a few days.
