Bio: NeonGenesis is a dubstep, trance, and glitch production duo based out of Los Angeles. Since their formation in January 2011, they’ve released a string of heavy, melody driven dubstep tracks thats earned them a reputation for experimental dance floor bangers. NeonGenesis is one of the only live dubstep performance groups in the Los Angeles area, using Ableton Live and an assortment of midi controllers to perform in a style similar to The Glitch Mob and Magnetic Man, guaranteeing a set chock full of original tracks, unreleased material, and fresh on the fly remixes.

Razat is the stage name of Baltazar Gallego’s rave music project. Native of Lisbon, at age 7 initiated his musical education at a conservatory in Lisbon and consolidated his knowledge of musical production at Escola Técnica de Imagem e Comunicação (ETIC) in 2005. Since 2006 he’s studying Sound and Image in Escola Superior de Artes e Design (ESAD), Caldas da Rainha, Portugal.
Being very versatile in his work, Baltazar has been experimenting all kinds of music from funk to metal, from hip-hop to drum’n'bass, techno, minimal, psy-trance, dupstep, breakbeat, drumstep, reggae you name it.

Since 2009 in project Razat, Baltazar shows us his young, agressive and twisted side. In 2010, Razat has been acclaimed by Trashbags as one of the most versatile portuguese producers.
At the end of 2010, Razat has released his debut ep “Demons Go Party” published by RazatLaboratory Recs. In 2011 the british label Lu10 records has published three drumstep / dubstep tracks in “Speaker Porn Volume 3 – Adventures In Bass”. Razat is about to release two ep, one for the Spanish label Electroshock Records and another ep’s release by the renowned Californian label Heavy Artillery Records, label owned by Urban Assault.

BeatBombers (Stereossauro & Dj Ride) has included one of Razat’s tracks “Ready to Get Funky (Original Mix)” in the winning set of IDA Awards 2011.
Some of his tracks are included in sets of bass music recognized artists like Terravita, Figure, Bare Noize, Beazt, The Plague, among others.

LxFactory, República da Música (Antigo Tuatara), MusicBox, Green Hill, Bixo Mau, Caldas Late Night, Fábrica da Pólvora, Ateneu De Lisboa, Bergantim Club e Ponto N were some of the stages that felt already the power of hard-bass/punchy-drums/party music of Razat.
Baltazar, mentor of Razat’s Project, as producer has explored the differentes strands of musical production and sound design. Over the years he has been working in cinema and theater alongside with reowned creatives such as Maria João Luís, Gonçalo Amorim, Janita Salomé, among others. Lately he worked with Nacional Theather D.Maria II for the play “The bitter tears of Petra Von Kant”. In music scenery, Baltazar started and joined several projects. Meanwhile as Dr.Razat (techno minimal project) won “D-nox-Beckers” remix contest promoted by beatport with straight collaboration of Barroque Records.

Well, well, well. Looky what we have here. PropaTingz contacted me and asked if we could shed some more light on his new release, and share its glory with the good people who come to us for their daily injection of filth. I was more than happy to do that. We don’t have a freebie to give away with this one, im very, very sorry. But, i think you will appreciate the shear splendor this EP has in store. AWAKEN - a remix of an original track by “The Empire Shall Fall”, a band featuring and formed by ex “KILL SWITCH ENGAGE’ frontman Jesse Leach. A friend introduced Propa to the band and he was instantly taken back by the ”conscious ferocity” of the vocals. Knowing full well the power of the Dubstep Metal hybrid he immediatly contacted the band and impressed upon them the potential of such a collab. BACK TO BUSINESS - Propa and KleptoMaddox have been sharing the stage on the US Dubstep scene for some time now. Impressed by there unique Cali flow it was only time before he mananged to get them in the studio. In this track he employed his “BREAKBEATBUDDHA” glitch hop skills to craft out a GlitchStep banger.

I un-zipped that beauty quicker than you could imagine, and started sifting through the filth. Deep within this overflowing bag of joy, appeared a text file with treasures i was told to divulge. Here it is, wet your whistles on this:

Bassbook EP is by far the filthiest,most gut wrenching EP we have compiled to date and seriously cannot be missed. At the forefront of the EP are 12GAUGE, this duo from the Netherlands have been setting the dubstep scene ablaze with their mental drum loops, ferocious bass and quirky sampling. These boys have even had a load of zombies dancing to one of their tracks on ‘America’s Got Talent’ :-/…how did that happen?.

Lurking behind 12GAUGE you have the one and only dreadlocked robo swede……DAYN, his two Bassbook tracks are outstanding! The much anticipated ‘Distortion Field’ and a sick colab with buddy DALADUBZ will be helping kids get a dirty robostep fix across the world. Known for his intense style DAYN has seriously outdone himself on this one. To garnish an already very fine EP we thought who better to bring the noise than the one and only JOGO this non-bunny rabbit will be gracing us with his two finest tracks, one of which is club smasher ‘Extinguish’ which he has been pounding into ear holes across Europe and the other….well you will have to wait on that one

Finally…the icing on the dirty basscake that is Bassbook! We have 2 SPECIAL GUESTS at the end of the EP with two AMAZING tracks that you wont know a thing about until release time which will be MID JANUARY, EXCLUSIVE TO BEATPORT!

I really didn’t know what to expect, but upon closer inspection, i saw, what some may deem as sheer brilliance, with a slice of insanity. But, thankfully for KillaGraham, thats how i like my ears to be penetrated. Enjoy.
