For Krypled Brains first release, Stinky Swagga EP, we have a free Davr track to give away. We have posted on Davr before and although his sound hasn’t changed too much, he is still showing signs of improvement. We wish Davr the best with all his future production, he is still young and seems eager to improve.

We had an interview with Davr and Phanatik (Krypled Brains Owner), here’s how it went.

TELL US A BIT ABOUT THE RELEASE YOU HAVE OUT ON KRYPLED BRAIN RECORDS:
DAVR: It is a 2 track EP named Stinky Swagga with the tunes Stinky Swagga and Blockbuster. And it is out on www.Digital-tunes.net

HOW DID THE RELEASE COME ABOUT:
DAVR: Well i talk to mista hyde which is A&R on the label quite a lot on aim. So he told me about the label and i decided to send some tunes in. Phanatik contacted me on aim later and then it just went from there

PHANATIK, YOU’RE OUT IN FLORIDA, WHATS THE SCENE LIKE OVER THERE:
PHANATIK: The scene here in Florida is growing bigger and bigger for bass music. We currently have a monthly night called Killa Hertz, going 9 months strong!

HOW ARE THE AMERICANS LIKING THE EUROPEAN DUBSTEP:
PHANATIK: Well seeing that everyone is playing mostly Euro tunes I would say that they are digging the sound, but the American dubstep is also getting bigger and more recognized!

DAVR, THIS IS YOUR FIRST RELEASE, IS THAT CORRECT? YOU MUST BE HAPPY THAT YOU’LL BE ON THE SAME RECORD LABEL AS THE LIKES OF BORGORE, BUKEZ FINEZT,RICHIE AUGUST, AND MISTA HYDE:
Yeah for sure, there is some big names on the label

DAVR, WHAT IS NEXT FOR YOU:
I got another release forthcoming on a label called Dub Cartel, and it will probably be released in early 2010. Other then that just going to make more tunes and do it as good as I can.

DAVR, WHAT SET UP ARE YOU CURRENTLY USING:
I am on FL Studio 9, Massive & some other vsts, A midi keyboard and a pair of krk rokit 8s.

PHANATIK, TELL US MORE ABOUT YOUR BACKGROUND AND HOW KRYPLED BRAIN CAME ABOUT:
I started spinning Hardcore at the age of 15 in Detroit, then moved to Drum and Bass for years! Did a little touring of the States and ended up in Miami, I have always used Krypled Brain under my name on flyers since day 1. About a year ago me and the co-owner of Krypled Brain Records, DJ LK47 (Kevin Davidson) decided to make it a label and started scouting for talent.
