Mista Hyde

Mista Hyde is a new up and coming producer from the South West of England, although fairly new to the dub scene Hyde has already made his mark with a high work rate and a steady flow of releases on labels such as SHIFT RECORDINGS and KRYPLED BRAIN, Mista Hyde is also co-owner / CEO of DUB CARTEL RECORDINGS, Already an established lyricist Hyde looks to be settling in to the dub scene comfortably. His forthcoming release on Shift, SHIFTDIGI017 is out out DEC 21ST, called ‘Kill Kill Kill’.

NAME: Mista Hyde

WHEN DID YOU START PRODUCING? WAS IT JUST DUBSTEP OR ANY OTHER TYPES OF MUSIC:
Not really, when I was 15 I had a crack at making drum and bass, this lasted about a day, then I didn’t produce for another 4 years , so yeah pretty much just dubstep if I’m honest.

DESCRIBE YOUR SOUND:
The sound your mum would make if a sumo wrestler was sat on her face, lmao.

WHAT PLANS YOU GOT FOR THE FUTURE:
Well I just started a record label called DUB CARTEL RECORDINGS with my man from the states 2FACE, things are looking pretty good on that note, we got some amazing artist’s signed up, and some bigger names in the pipeline, we’ll be getting 001 and 002 out in January, so that’s my main plan at the minute, just hoping to get things rolling and in the future we wanna get on vinyl distribution, that and keep banging out my tunes for the people.
