So what have Shaun and Max (SBH) been up to recently?? With a forthcoming release on Brighton based Evergreen Forest Records Facebook label which is set for an April release, these boys have been in the lab cooking up some tasty toast! Evergreen Forest will be putting out releases from Hizzle Guy, Capcha (secret alias), Riskotheque and Marchmellow, sounds good to me! Doing this job, you come across artists, record labels, agencies and individuals. Now, were not saying that everyone is perfect or does it the way WE like it to be done, but, Betamorph Recordings does it in all kinds of good ways, and that touches us in the special places you only get touched a few times in this lifetime. Betamorph is a partnership consisting of DeeJ, Megatron, Adam Firer and Simon Fogg, a positive cooking pot of electronic understanding, that makes Betamorph the beast it is today.

Betamorph has been an established shopping basket of filth for a couple of years now and has been providing the Dubstep community with some truly powerful releases. When we scour the net for talent, we like to think that unreleased artists have a platform to aim for, we believe that, among others, Betamorph gives the community that platform. The artist roster not only includes insane talent from Metaphase, D-Jahsta, Richie August, Megalodon and Mark Instinct but also releases from legends like DZ, Orien and Lukki.

As a U.S. label you expect them to be all Stars and Stripes and keep the filth strictly state side, however they go global with their conquests and have been acquiring talent from the 4 corners of the globe. We are fortunate enough to be one of the few who get to hear some of the releases that Betamorph are putting out ahead of scheduled release, and we are never disappointed at the quality and variation of the sound they promote.

A perfect example of this is BMR035. I was sent this a week ago and i HAVE NOT stopped listening to it. Im not just saying this, like some kind of soulless promo plug for Betamorph releases, i genuinely mean this! Point.Blank has done it again, and if you don’t know who they are, then i pitty you! Point.Blank is a collab project of two belgium dubstep producers called Vyron & Matar and when we say they are big, we mean they are FUCKING HUGE! The sound these guys produce is as big and as filthy as it gets, so much so, that they have attracted the attention of Dubsaw Recordings, Veri Lo, BuyGore, Bovinyl Moosick, Betamorph, Stupid Fly Records and Ultragore Recordings. Why is this you ask, simple, they have the deepest sub rattles and the highest brain meltingly beautiful synths you ears will have ever heard. This EP will have you marching down your street with a smile on your face, bouncing up and down like a jester on acid, and if you like to listen to your bass in your car, it’s guaranteed to get every police car within a mile on your tail.

The EP consists of 5 tracks of pure unrelenting filth, with a saucy little remix from D-Jahsta and a positive powerhouse of a track combining the talents of Point.Blank and Bukez Finezt. This EP is not to be missed. It is up for early release on Beatport on Wednesday, Febuary 15th 2011, that is less than 1 week away, so get that cash out and prepare to get some real value for money. Once March 1st 2011 rolls around, the release will be worldwide, but i imagine you will have a copy by then.

Betamorph have very kindly given us a little taster to provide you with, it’s a remix of Point.Blank – Brutal by Coresyntax. I don’t have any additional info on this artist and when i asked for a little Betamorph explanation i got this:

“I don’t really have any information about coresyntax as they are aliens living on earth and are very secretive, but only for now.  If you’re lucky to be able to spot one of these aliens with the human eye, you’ll most likely see them in Poland.  Rumor has it that one of the members is Substacja, but it’s only speculative.  Betamorph will be the ones to unleash these alien life forms on the masses.  Keep it locked for the mothership.” Nuff said, im sold!

Kraddy is a bit of an unknown here at Squitty. We have had a few tracks from him over the years but nothing that registered on our scales, that was until we noticed this little gem sitting in the smog of our inbox. Kraddy has recently completed the “Labyrinth Remix Project” E.P, which is a collective of artists who have taken his original beats and put their own spin on them, and trust us, it’s worth splashing out a few pennies on the entire E.P. truly a keeper. We have a free give away from the E.P, a remix done by Stephan Jacobs, it feels quite Glitchy and Minimalist, but look beyond the face value and hear the production values there, simply lovely.

Sam Knowles a 16 year old producer from the U.K. He has been in contact with us before but we were not very “WOW’d” by the filth this young’un was showing. However i went to crack open a fresh can of email’s today and noticed a little hello from Titch, to my amazement the track he sent us was right up our ally and we knew you’d appreciate it and its creator. With some hard samples and face smashingly powerful hits of all things bassy and dark, this one is a nice one for the robotic slow mover out there, if i close my eyes hard and try to imagine, i can see a young Steven Rock smashing his fists downwards to this one.

Don’t just take our word for it, tell us if were wrong, right, stupid or you think we just don’t know shit about Dubstep. Let us know and let Titch know, these young producers need all the advice they can get to help shape their productions.

Titch - Fuck That

Stasis is an 18 year old producer from Michigan, United States. He has been producing dubstep for over a year, but prior to that he was making metal dirt in a Deathcore Band. Glad he’s put down them heavy metal feelings and come over to the darker side. He has a very very heavy sound, which i feel perfectly explains the Detroit filth noise to come from that area of the U.S We have always been looking for a sound that embodies the darkness and the industrial grime of Detroit and we believe we may have found its spoke’s person

Dry Bones is an all out smash you in the face, intense synthy beast. Its almost too much filth to contend with but you can hang on just long enough to hear a truly mind blowing selection of industrial grit. Plus his change up just before half time, is very interesting. Chifforobe, i feel is a bit too heavy. I have to be honest with you, it is a little too intense and too high for me. But i can’t keep these things from you just because im unsure about them, thats why we love each other, ill throw them up and if you like them let us know if not throw them back. Keep up the filth Stasis, never stop being insane.

I have had my eyes on this one for ages now, and i have a gut feeling he is going to be a big shining mother fucker in this industry. His sound is as BIG and RAW as you can immagine and i feel that, once agin, Belgium has done it again!
I asked Korkey to send me a Bio about his rise to meteoric stardom, and here’s what he had to say:

“It all began when i moved to a new village called Zedelgem. One day i was playing my nice pearl export drum in my room… suddenly my new neighbour from across the street came to our house and started yelling that he would go to the cops. I was playing pretty heavy that day and realy wanted to grow big in music, and i wanted to do all sorts off stuff, but i could not drum anymore cuz off my neighbours, so what did i do?

I bought a new pc.. and cleaned my bureau for two big B&W speakers. I downloaded Fruityloops and started to get some things going, nothing realy worked in the days back then. So after 6 months starting from 2010 in May i switched over to Ableton and suddenly everything made sense! Now after one year of producing… Korkey Buchek is gonna release a full EP on Stupidfly records featuring Duck Hunt , Eat a Peach , Gold and Exploding Cheese! and with one more release comming soon on purple eye records.”

There’s hardly any info and pages on this guy, so i can’t really offer you much apart from this free track.
