Sorry to be boring with the infill text for this, i want to write loads about how sick Vaski is, and how we have featured him a few times on the site. Unfortunately, the track was so sick that i went on a killing spree and have been locked up.

So this post and message is from an underground server deep within the basement of the darkest, most hellish jail you could imagine. Im powering my macbook from a crude potato/lemon battery and getting a 56kbps connection from a modem plugged into a coal burning furnace. Take this track and use it wisely, don’t loose your mind like me and end up killing loads of innocent people. I’m not blaming Vaski, but the blood on my hands is down to your filth.

Reign & King Astma

Reign and King Astma are known well for their many collaborations, possibly they are dutch lovers?! Well I’m sure they are safe guys and I don’t mean to make out that they are gay for each other! Anyway! We have a sick Jelly remix from the boys, the original of course by Vaski. Also a lively tune from Reign called Hyperspace Gate. I’ve added Reigns bio below so you get more information if you ever bother to read this shit! Peace.

Reign Bio:
Reign is the dubstep alias of 20 year old producer Reinald Van Praet, hailing from Leuven – Belgium. Producing for about 3 years and though fairly new to the dubstep scene, he’s already gaining quite some fans and interest around town.

Coming from a metal/rock background, you can tell that his style of dubstep often reaches back to these genres, aswell as alot of breaks and drum&bass influences. Hard hitting basslines with pounding drumbreaks and a critical ear for detail: Reign’s recipe for a unique sound of dubstep.

Reign and King Astma have recently had a release on 2 Much Bass Records, entitled Brainfever, which is nice, so go and get that!

We at Squitty Bubbler love promoting new talent within the Dubstep scene, we go out of our way to give YOU exclusive content and sickening tunes, for FREE! After chatting with Oblivion from USA we had to upload the tunes and previews to our file sharing, find and edit a photo to feature, edit down the interview, write this up and wait to press the Publish button! NAME: James Vadner

LOCATION: Minneapolis, Minnesota

FOR THOSE WHO MIGHT NOT BE FAMILIAR WITH YOUR SOUND/STYLE. HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE IT:
I guess my sound could be described as heavey basslines a real electro style to it, I do try to keep things different as each tune gets done, I am also working on a tune that is super chill and deep.
I am also recently working on a new tune that is chill and deep, with a lot of sub bass.

HOW DID YOU GET INTO DUBSTEP, AND WHAT MADE YOU WANT TO PRODUCE:
Awesome question, In 2008, I was booked to play at this campout like 2 hours south of Mpls, funny story this is the same exact way Alex Vaski got into dubstep as well, we were both there walking around from stage to stage, and seemed to keep ourselves at the Uncensored US stage.
our 2 friends KJ, and Dan Hack were playing dubstep and we heard the track Gangster by Babylon System & SPL, after that we both pretty much just fell in love with the genre, before we left we were also handed a dubstep mix by a DJ named Tinhead, and listened to that the whole way home.

After a few months I started buying tunes and playing them out, and moved from being a UK Hardcore DJ to a Dubstep DJ, at times I wanted to do both, but I kept only being booked for dubstep, in 2010 Alex (Vaski) and I started a collab called Party Foul, and that pretty much started me with producing my own dubstep, as of today I have been producing for about 9 Months.

WHATS YOUR CURRENT PRODUCTION SET UP:
FL Studio 9, a computer, and some crappy Philips brand speakers from a cd changer stereo, I also have a 12 inch sub that helps alot, yea its not much but it works for what I am pushing out now, soon I hope to get a nice midi keyboard, and some new monitors.

HOW DO YOU FEEL THE SCENE IS GOING, IS THERE ANYTHING MISSING, HOW WOULD YOU CHANGE IT:
Dubstep its self has really pushed itself into everything, there are producers like Rusko, Chase & Status producing for big acts like Rihanna, and Brittany Spears, at my age we remember Britney with pop music singing oops I did it again, and now she has a tune with a dubstep breakdown.

So really I think the scene is doing just great, people maybe mad that its going mainstream, but when it wasn’t I remember when people talked about wanting to make dubstep big, now it is, get used to it haha.

My thoughts on what is missing, nothing really anymore at a time when dubstep first blew up, that’s all that people wanted to hear, they would go to a rave just to hear it, I love all sorts of electronic music, and I love to keep seeing parties with all styles instead of just dubstep, and that’s would also I would change, to keep it fresh and keep peoples minds open, so usually in a set of mine you’ll never hear just a full hour of dubstep, you’ll hear some dutch house, dnb, hardcore, what ever i feel the crowd at the time will like.

New EP releasing on Betamorph Recordings, no really set date yet, but will have some really sweet tunes, like Bomberman Fights Back, and Forcefeild, also a remix in the works by Cyberoptics, my ep will have a couple more tunes, but really don’t have any names for them yet.

Vaski has a sickeningly satisfying sound. We found him on the old MySpace and we loved what we heard. He is a Minnesota born resident, and has been slaying the scene over there, not only with his tracks but he has been bringing down the house with his sets. Beatport has been housing his tracks for sometime now and there has been a lot of good feedback from the general dubstep public.

His World on Fire EP on Rottun Recordings shook not only the beatport charts but the entire dubstep community. All five tracks peaked in the top 25 in dubstep on beatport, two tracks in the top ten, and “Get Down” gaining a place as a number one hit.

Wrap your ear holes around this lovely remix of Amanda Blank‘s – Might Like You Better. It made the rain go away and the sun shine when we heard this. Absolutely lovely. Really nice use of plinky plonky synths and a good all round use of filthy robotty goodness. Sink your teeth into this one, play it out and pop a few speaker cones for Vaski.

Well, seeing as a lot of you thought the last Vaski tune that we posted was considered too old and waaa waaa waaa, we’ve got a more recent one! From our knowledge this is a bit fresher for all you people out there who can’t stand listening to anything more than a second old (not that this is less than a second old!).

We feel this Remix is a bit better than the last that we posted by Vaski. And doesn’t Britney have a lovely voice?! The kind of voice that makes you want to elbow her in the face! Is that mean?! Sorry Britney! Download this tune.
