Holy fucking shit! We have been waiting for this day for quite some time. We have today an absolute killer of the dancefloor, someone who has split more ear holes than Mike Tyson. Whisker Twister is one of the Tel Aviv artists that have been bleeding their way across the world to finally bless us with their filth. He has tracks signed to Submob, Basspunch Records, Dubcartel and Rottun, all of which are doing this guys sound justice.

We have been watching the Tel Aviv scene for a while now and have come to realise they are one of the sickest, darkest and guttyest groups out there, constantly surprising even the most hardened of Dubstep enthusiasts. Do yourself a favor and get some tissues to mop up the blood that will shortly be coming from your ears. Enjoy.

Plesh had an interview with Whisker Twister and here is what was said!

WE’VE HEARD THAT THERE’S QUITE AN ACTIVE SCENE OUT THERE, WHATS YOUR TAKE ON IT:
The scene here is pretty big, parties are pretty much packed, and as you can see from the artists the scene is pretty hardcore.

BORGORE IS OBVIOUSLY THE MAN WHO STANDS OUT, BUT ARE THERE ANY OTHERS THAT ARE KILLING IT:
Well, first of all sticky feet, from our crew Submob, he has a unique sound and great talent, Shekel, also a mate, big talent and Tomba which you all probably heard of.

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR SOUND/PRODUCTION TO ANYONE WHO HASN’T HEARD IT:
Well, I try to avoid “locking” myself to a single style, but if I must, I’d say my dubstep is usually a little confusing, a bit more challenging then most, and influenced by a lot of genres, that change from one tune to another.

WHAT’S YOUR NAME ALL ABOUT:
Haha, that’s good one! Well, one time I put it this way, I make music that would twist your whiskers. Real reasons will not be exposed to leave a little mystery in it.

WHAT IS YOU SET UP YOU’RE USING TO PRODUCE AT THE MOMENT:
Well, I’m currently using a production-only (home) computer, a krk rokit 8 monitors, a novation remote sl keyboard , audio kontrol 1 soundcard, and sometimes I also use microkorg.

HOW LONG DOES IT NORMALLY TAKE TO MAKE A TUNE, OR DOES IT VARY? IF SO WHY:
It varies, making a tune can take me 3 days, and it can also take 1 month. For example, while making Fucking Cunt, I felt I wasn’t really happy with it, so I left it there for about three weeks when one of my friends told me he thinks I should finish it. Only then I decided to sit on it and were completely happy with it.
But I also got some tunes that I finished in a few production sessions.

TELL US ABOUT ‘FUCKING CUNT’, WAS THE MOBILE PHONE SOUND AN ACCIDENT:
Well, no, I had a concept for a tune in my mind from the beginning.

HAVE YOU WORKED ON ANY COLABORATIONS WITH ANY PRODUCERS:
Well, I have some colabs with sticky feet that are unfinished at the moment, also there was the colab with Tomba which is forthcoming on Rottun Recs, and I will soon get together with shekel for a colab too.

ANYONE YOU WOULD LIKE TO WORK WITH IF POSSIBLE:
Well, if we’re talking about big names, I guess it’s Doctor P, Datsik, Propa Tingz, NumberNin6 and 501.

ANY THING ON YOUR MIND THAT YOU’D LIKE TO SAY:
Well, keep an eye for upcoming releasing, there’s a lot of them, also keep an eye for Submob, we’re gonna get some material out under that name too sooner or later, and that’s it, watch out from Israel people
